First time using the Kubi system on my new dry suit. Maybe a stupid question but what is the purpose of the black o-rings on the cuff and glove side? When the glove side is installed both of those black o-rings are still exposed. I was thinking maybe the cuff side black o-ring maintains compression between the glued cuff ring and the inner cuff ring, and the glove side black o-ring maintains compression from the glove to the cuff axially? Not immediately clear to me.

Both are holding other components in place.

On the suit side, it holds the metal ring in place. When you need to replace the wrist seal, the black o-ring comes off and the inner metal ring is pushed up the sleeve to expose another o-ring that holds the wrist seal in place.

On the glove side, the black o-ring is holding the KUBI ring in place. When it's time to replace a glove, both of the visible o-rings come off and the kubi ring slides off to expose a 3rd o-ring that provides a seal for the glove.

Super helpful, thanks!
