We will be in Krabi Nov 29 thru Dec 2. I have read about Phi Phi but does anyone have experience with the 7 islands off Ao Nang Beach?

Indeed. Lived in Ao Nang decades ago still drop in to see friends and dive - most recently at the beginning of the year. The local islands are quite neat for Thai diving, infact I prefer them to Phi Phi due to the volume of divers at Phi Phi. I dive with the same op who have just put a new and very nice looking boat in the water and are doing great things as far as reef care. Probably easier to link you to the sites than ramble on about each but I particularly like the Koh Ya Bon cave.

Fun Diving - Scuba diving Ao Nang great company who ive been diving with and referring people to for many years.

Enjoy your time in Ao Nang, still one of my favourite places :)

Thanks Wingy
I feel better about local diving at Ao Nang now.
What kind of depths are we talking at the local site and Phi Phi.
I'm concerned because my lung capacity isn't what it used to be. Gettin older.

I went back to the Fun Dive web site and now see the Island profiles with depth. Phi Phi not listed, unless its still loading, slow inter net.
