Hello

I have been lurking for a while and have finally come out of the dark so to speak.

I am an underwater photographer and have been shooting for almost 10 years, some of my projects include working with other photographers like David Hall, ( ocean Realm, Rodales ) and more recently working with Wyland. also have done some work on projects for the Discovery Channel and The History Channel. I can't write worth beans, therefore you haven't seen any thing from me in DIve mags. :D

I love photography and I like to teach as well, therefore I am trying my best to get involved and help those just getting their feet wet in UW photography

Check out my gallery, and jump in on some photo discussions, feel free to send private messages as well regarding some specific questions but it is better for all if the questions are posted in the forum

enough babbling

Welcome to ScubaBoard!

I look forward to your participation on the board. You're up to 34 posts, so you must like writing "a little"! ;)

One of these days, I hope to get into underwater videography. I'm not sure how long it will take before I go down that road, but I think that I'll probably get a different setup than I use on land. I understand that Sony seems to be used more often underwater. My stuff is all Canon and not as easy to find housings and other things for. Also, it looks like I can find a Sony video camera WITH the housing for less than I can just find a housing for the Canon.

OK... I guess it was my turn to babble! :11:

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Glad you emerged from the shadows and introduced yourself! Welcome!

Welcome and glad you decided to come clean..... :)

I have read some of your postings, so you do write even if it is a little bit.

Please, please stay and share your wealth on experiences and knowledge with us. I for one would greatly appreciate any tidbits on photography and would love to learn from your experiences, it must have been a very rewarding life.

Have fun in the forums and thanks for joining.

Safe diving,
Maria

I haven't dove for a while, but, I have learned that this board is non-judgemental. What a great place this is to share your zest for life, no matter what contribution you can make. Here comes that warm fuzzy feeling again.

Hi there! My name is Kayla, and I have been diving for over two years now. I think that you will probably learn some things from ScubaBoard, and I think that from the sounds of it, we will be able to learn some things from you as well. I hope that you will feel comfortable enough to post about your experiences very soon! If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM.. and I hope to get to know you better.

As a side note... photography is very rapidly becoming my second hobby (diving is first of course!), I am yet to try underwater photography, but would love to someday when money allows it!

Thank you all, I have noticed that this forum is very friendly and I do indeed feel much at home.

Everyone is more than welcome to ask me questions either n a forum or privately and I also look forward to the assistance of the members on my inquiries.

Please note that there will be times of my absence when I do my traveling to shoot, usually between January and June. currently I am in my off season in regard to shooting. At this time I try to sort through recent images, take care of business in Japan and take a break from shooting and hide in Japan far from my home on Guam, since typhoons be a plenty in Micronesia this time of year.

In the future if I do not reply to a thread feel free to send me a private message.

internet access is very pricey on the remote islands, therefore viewing web sites is limited but I always try to check email at least one a day.

Glad to see you on Scuba Board and Welcome! From Matt :monkeydan

Welcome to the board Chris. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Howdy!

I want to join the others in welcoming you to SB. I looked at a few of your photos, and even though they take a long time to load on dial-up, it was worth it. Marvelous work. How many Scuba Sherpas does it take to carry your photo gear around in the water.

I think you'll find our photo forum to your liking, but do hang with us Recreational dives some. PM me direct if I can help you learn your way around here.
