When I was in the Keys in the first part of July I called Fish and Wildlife when I caught three guys in the canal taking Lobsters. I was amazed at how blatant they were about it and didn't even stop when I walked down to the dock.

what did the gove do with the lobsters.... eat them for dinner???.... I want to buy a few

They sold the lobsters at auction and all the proceeds were donated to charity to preserve the Keys.

And the beat goes on.....

After almost 30 years in S FL, nothing surprises me, but I'm glad he was caught -

Now if they could make as part of his sentence a requirement that he remove the "junk" he placed in the water creating traps (old car hoods, metal parts, old washing mach., etc) - that destroyed sea grass, etc - that would be fair.

It will be interesting to see what "time" this jerk gets, b/c these crimes often do not result in meaningful prison time, and this is not the first time for him, just the first time he was caught.

five years in prison, thousands of dollars in fines and forfeiture of his boats, vehicles, gear and equipment---

WHEN and WHERE is the Govn't auction!?! I wanna go!!!
