Key West

It's good to be Home again, (Ruby Slippers). Well, I can take Key West off the bucket list. Did 4 dives with Captain's Corner = Good Service with a strong focus on safety. Day 1 The Vandenberg, real strong current on the first dive but after moving to the bow buoy, it was much better for dive 2. Day 2 shallow dives on the reef near the old light tower. Unfortunately poor vis with lots of particulates in the water. They had a husband and photography team on board. Who argued constantly, the wife was from Istanbul, and pretty much the cause of the problems. She was rude to the crew & customers. Maybe her behavior is acceptable in Turkey, but she definitely needs some cultural training.
Key West has Lots to do on and off the water. All you need is bicycle to get around.

Interesting. Never been down to Key West; would like to dive the Vandenberg someday. What drew you to Key West out of all the options out there? Just curious in case I'm ever back in the Keys.

It was a Bucket list item. And our 2nd trip to the Keys, first was to Islamarada where there is much better diving. Next tripto the keys will be to Key Largo.
Key west has a lot of history and plenty of entertainment, from rum Bars, to the Butterfly conservatory, to the Hemingway house, sailing, fishing, ect.
