Enjoying the report -- I keep meaning to make it to Key Largo to dive.

One question: how far is the Courtyard from where you need to meet Horizon?

10 min to the shop, 15 to the boats.

This damselfish was a pest! Right at the mooring ball, he kept biting me both dives! Must have a nest nearby.

Sorry, I should have been more specific: is that walking or by car? I understand the Courtyard is within walking distance to Rainbow Reef, and was wondering if Horizon docked nearby also.

By car. You can walk to rainbow reef but absolutely not horizon from here.

Shot from my balcony. That yellow building right smacked dab in the middle is rainbow reef. Some of their boats are there right next to the shop. They also have a location right on the Oversea Heighway.

What's the hotel rate with HD discount? I usually stay in Homestead/FL City, but have almost been burned several times by accidents on the road to KL.

What's the hotel rate with HD discount? I usually stay in Homestead/FL City, but have almost been burned several times by accidents on the road to KL.

It varies but the room I’m in is listed online for $350/night booking directly for the nights I’m here. With the HD discount I’m paying $111-$223 per night depending upon the night of the week. Friday night is the most expensive. With tax the 4 nights I’m here was $735. So a bit more than the Florida City hotels, but not a crazy amount more plus a much more convenient location.
