Don't know if you could bodge it back together, but that page says, "Suitable for single use only, so keep a spare on hand!"

Ah, the PDF says that the activator is "sodium bicarbonate and tartaric acid", both of which are food items available at the supermarket (tartaric acid was in the spice aisle last time I bought some). I'm not sure how they encapsulate it, but theoretically you could handle repacking it.

Actually, you could just use an old sausage and make your own, and feel free to give it 10 pounds of lift. :D
