Kerry's Support for LNG......

Sen John Kerry has recently expressed support for the LNG off Outer Brewster. This area is one of the few really wild spots left in MA and the terminal has been opposed by a wide range of grassroots groups. (and has been the subject of several NELD threads).

Today it was uncovered that the co-founder of the company trying to build the LNG has made a sizable donation to Kerry. Disgusting.

Liquified Natural Gas

I think it stands for liquid natural gas. LNG's are the tankers to support the demand for anyone who uses natural gas within their homes and or businesses. The tankers if I ma not mistaken have these rather large sphere like storage tanks within the hull of the ship.

There has been talk about putting a rather large LNG terminal in either the Boston area or down in the Fall River/New Bedford region. I am not sure where the current climate is at the moment.

The idea to put it down in Fall River was shut down, so the next move they are trying to do will be the Brewster, and as is been said in previous threads about the same issue, i hope the bird's lovers can do something about it, if i'm not wrong the Boston Harbor Island are home for several Species of birds, so i think they have a very good chance to stop the LNG company from building there.

Well he is for wind energy as long as he doesnt have to see it. Without getting too political thats pretty two faced.

I thought people here had said that the proposal for Outer Brewster was killed?
Anyone heard about if thats the case or is the LNG proposal still ongoing?
