Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd share some shots I took at Pt. Lobos State Park in Carmel, California USA. We had exceptional viz yesterday and over 50 feet in some of the deeper sites. For all you warm water divers out there, we usually get less that 30 feet of visibility and waters temp average around the 48F-55F.

Enjoy!

nice shots ericson..man i need to get back in the water...quick...

I've never dived in kelp, my cousin used to work/dive out of CIMI and has brought back a few videos of her diving in kelp and it looks mighty interesting :)

Not sure about all that cold water though :D I could probably deal with 55ºF for awhile, but temps in the 40sºF? Ouch! If I can see 5', I can see plenty

It's fun to dive in kelp...that's where all the fish are!

My vote goes to Pic #1 for the blow up for the living room!

That morning, the fog was thick. I was out with a bunch of friends from my LDS and their Seadoo scooters. We had a great time zooming around the kelp and pinnacles. For the second dive, I decided to bring my camera and the sun just started breaking through the clouds. It was an awesome sight to be seen.

I'm still stoked just thinking about it!

There are few things better than to look up to catch some sunbeams dancing through the summer canopy. It looks like you captured some of that that.

Gorgeous...

Is Catalina anything like this?
