What is involved in keeping your DM Cert current?

Money to PADI, keeping your liability insurance up to date ($$), and making sure that you update your CPR as needed ($$).

I was waiting for you to catch that. Thanks for the use of it. I'll find another soon.

No problem, I get a lot of feedback on it--"Jeez! that's irritating" seems to be the consensus.

The cost for insurance and the annual fee you pay the certification agency give you the "administrative" stuff. There really is no requirement to act as a DM in any way to be maintain active status. This is where the 'professional' responsibility part comes in. IMHO to stay current as a DM also means you have to work as a DM by helping on courses, running dives, or similar.
