Hi --
I can't seem to keep my C60 "on", it goes into an idle/sleep state that I can't wake it from, at least not until I remove it from the housing, close and reopen the lens cover. Pushing the Review button lets me see photos already taken, but doesn't give me a way to take a new picture.
What do others do? Set it to the max (10 minute) on time, just make sure you move the zoom control or something every 10 minutes? Is there some kind of firmware update to permit continuous On when the slide is opened?
Thanks.

Hey Markfm,

Previous cam was a C60.... I used it on "one minute before goin' to sleep" -mode in order to save energy in longer or mutiple dives. You'll wake it up by pressing the quick view button!!

Best of luck!!

Have you tried just taking a picture? When my camrea goes into sleep mode I take a picture and then its on again.

Ahh, I tried that again (had seen it in another post), and it worked, thanks. I think there must be some other timeout that kicks in, though God only knows what it is. If it has gone to Sleep, and you presss the QuickView "fairly soon", it wakes it back up OK. On the other hand, if you wait too long, it goes beyond sleep and truly Off (the green power light on top goes off).

Ok markfm, never experienced that..... I'm in the office now, when I get back home I'll try to leave it asleep till the green light goes out! We'll see what happens then...

Let you know asap.

Grtzzzz,

hi markfm,

Tried it for over an hour without the green light....... still works with quick review button!!

By the way, my wife is over the moon with that cam!! Still in the process of getting everything rite when it comes to setting, but I'm helpin' her with that.

Regards,

Pennywise

hohoho, got something else for lack of strobe firing in supermacro mode.
Got something to do with partially zooming in on M mode.....

Wait for nxt episode....... workin' it out now!

hihihi

I think I got what my problem was. After 30 minutes the light went out, but pushing the review button did work.

The cover, however, is very easy to "nudge" a bit, and if it is moved slightly off of all the way open that will turn the camera off. I need to be very careful loading it in the housing.

Thanks again!
