I'm going to be landing in Phuket May 17 and am looking for a liveaboard that leaves in the few days after that (preferably mid-lower range on price). I contacted thailand-scuba.com and they said that there is a chance that some of the boats might not sail at all unless they are booked. Can someone recommend a boat that would likely leave and would be a good value?

Thanks

Owl,

I have just booked with Fabien at FunDives.com on the MV Genesis Liveaboard for the second week of April to dive Richelieu Rock, Koh Ban and the Surin Islands. It is not the cheapest liveaboard but it has been highly recommended by a few people-- 3 day , 10 dive trip for 585. Don't know if they will definitely go out but their schedule is on the Net:

On another note... can anyone recommend a resort hotel on the beach in the Koh Lak area. I am considering the Ayara Villas but would like to see a few others to compare.
