I'm a Fish!
On Monday Animal Control gets a call of a dog through the ice on Hayden Lake.

Day shift had three team members on so there was no need for a callout. They suited up for a surface operation, went down a very steep bank and recovered the Golden Retriever that had been there for a bit too long.

Sadly the dog died just as the team was getting to it. :(

Very sad news.

Christmas day we had two people and a puppy drown in the high water behind one of our local dams. Puppy got caught in swirling water, wife went in after it and got caught and hubby went in after her. I know they found the dog first and one of the adults was found several miles downstream by a kayaker, not sure if they have found the other body yet.

Low head dam plans

It scares the bejeebers out of me when my dog tries to go out on the ice.
