I just ordered new PST tanks and was curious about how they are typically shipped. I figure the valves will be seperate from the tanks and both should be sealed as they are supposedly o2 cleaned. Should I assemble the tanks or just go to my dive shop to get it done as I would imagine they want verification of an o2 cleaning. I would never typically buy tanks on the net but steel tanks have been hard for me to get so I did it.
Thanks

i got mine without the valves. i assambled the tanks myself. putting the valves on is
easy (just use hand pressure and a last "tug" with the hands). the manifold and
bands are just as easy. follow the directions on the tank or go to an on-line
instruction site (Dive Rite has a nice one)

the tanks should come with visual stickers on them. a shop shouldn't give you
grief about doing a visual if those are on.

alas, my tanks came with the visual stickers EXACTLY where the lower bands
go (bullseye on both tanks). despite promises (ahem... we shall not name
Larry of Scubatoys :)) i never got replacement stickies, so i had to go to
a local shop and get them vissed.

I ordered em from larry. I am not worried about the assembly, just minimizing the grief in the dive shop. As my diveshop can be a real PITA.
