Agree with Chris that no you don't have to stay at SCC to dive with them. We always have people on the boat from other places like Cozumel Palace.

If you are not diving on a package with them...the cost is $65 for a 2-tank morning dive if you are staying there and $75 if you are not. And the lockers are handy right by the rinse tanks. But you need your own lock like Chris says.

Or spend an extra $10 and dive with a valet dive op that stores all the gear for you, no lock required nor rinse tanks needed, and you get 70-90 minute dives on steel 120s to boot.

More like $30, actually.

$30 more than $75? I'm not aware of any dive op on the island that charges $105 for a 2 tank dive. I pay $85 plus tax. Aldora's website quotes $89.

The quoted price was $65, tax included.

"and $75 if you are not [staying there]" - as far as I know, the OP was not staying there, so the quoted price was $75 and said nothing about taxes. Going to ScubaClub's website, I read "$75 + tax per person ( includes BCD & Regulator)" which obviously implies tax is not included, but says nothing about any sort of credit for the diver using her/her own gear.

So this looks like something worth fighting about. :D

Anytime I'm right, it's worth fighting about!

For $10 more per day, you get 50% more air per dive, probably significantly more bottom time, surface intervals on nice beach, and valet gear service. Totally worth it to me, but others MMV.
