Just heard about the tragic death of a crew member while free diving aboard the Nekton Rorqual. My husband and I dove the Southern Bahamas on the Rorqual a few years ago. I discovered ScubaBoard while searching Google for more information on the accident. We try to dive out of the way sites before the cruise ships build on them. We found MayaHa at the bottom of the Yucatan Peninsula near Belize. Beautiful, un-touched reef. I'm new to Boards, but will be back shortly. Thanks.

Hey Islanddiver125,
Welcome to SB, sorry about the bad news though.
Y'all come back now, you hear.

Welcome to the board!

I certainly do wish you had stumbled across searching for something not so sad, but glad your here all the same. I think you'll find a ton of useful imformation here about more than just diving. As divers, we tend to be a tight nit little family, always keeping each other updated with what's going on and where.

Sorry about how you found us, but glad you're with us. I know how you feel about avoiding locales the boats have not ruined yet...!!

PM me if I can help you find your way around here....
