Manufacture tanks specialy for this purpose to hold more than 5000psi... is that possible?

I bet anyone reading this, giving it enough thought might just be *smart* enough to try it :D

You just need to have an underwater haskel. :banana: Descend to 2000m/200bar and use a bunch of 300bar tanks to pump up some others to 300bar gauge / 500bar absolute.

Definitely calls for a rebreather so that you only need to supply the O2 actually used.
 
Give me a sealed round sphere 6' in diametermade of two layers of 3' thick acrylic and a pair of E8-130s.

The Apollo 13 guys managed to do OK with lithium hydroxide, some cardboard, plastic bags and duct tape.
Don't need it, just be sure you pull me back up before my tanks are empty.

As long as I'm breathing off a regulator, the increasing gas volume inside my sphere will simply increase the pressure, but the regulator will automatically compensate and will continue to provide me with the proper mix ;)
 
So diving seems to be out, but what if..... You were aboard her when she went down and you got lucky (loosly applied here) and was in an airpocket large enough to allow you to breath all the way down (compression and all). Then is it thoretically possible that someone might have survived the sinking, only to run out of usable air once on the bottom?? I have thought alot about this at times.. What a way to go if it is possable. I know there ae confirmed instances where crewmen form Submarines survived at depth for a while until the air was no longer of use to them..But with the great depth of the Titanic could someone live to be that deep?

Very cool way of thinking! I prefer the out of the box thinkers!

think if you were in the situation you described, you'd freeze to death first....
 
And since you would most likely be completely and totally freaked out and running about in terror, you would tox out shortly after 1.6ppo2.
