Totally off subject (I guess Denise usually always is..).. I stopped by my LDS store and the soft weights are up to 5.00 (Yes 5 bucks) a pound. So a 6# weight (I need two.) would cost me 30 bucks. FAWK that.

If it's $5/pound and you need 2 6lb wieghts, it'd cost you $60 bucks total... (not $30)

**OUCH** Sounds kinda high....

Dive Sports has them for about $3 bucks per pound (they have a 10% off coupon right now also until March and you get a $10 gift card if you order $100 bucks of anything and free shipping on orders over $50 bucks)
Lead Weights and Belts at DiveSports.com
He doesn't have a 6 pounder listed but I bet he's got some if you call him. prob just doesn't have them on the website.

Scuba Toys has them for $4/pound (they give 10% off and free shipping on orders over $50 right now also).
5 lbs Sea Pearls Soft Weights, Weights, Seapearls, 5 lbs Sea Pearls Soft Weights
he doesn't have 6 pounder either... just up to 5 listed.

You buy a customized drysuit and now you are fussing about buying weights to sink it? :shakehead:

I didn't buy customized dry suit. I bought a dry suit and had it altered. :) By the time I buy enough weights to sink it, I could pay off my AOW class. :)

Hard lead isn't cheap either, but i did get lucky and found a weight belt at a yard sale.... $15 for around 40lbs. The lady selling it had no clue what it was. I was gonna buy a scuba tank that had been sitting in a barn for 20+ years and use it for air tools but i didn't quite like the fact that the inside was rusted to shambles.
