You will need a lot more than pocket change for kolledge fund. I don need know stincking kollege.

Our 21 year old is in school at UA and her college runs about 3,000/semester. 200 to 500 dollars for books per semester and 3000.00 for rent/utilities.

My 10 year old is going no matter what. I hope she gets a softball scholarship. Fingers crossed. Maybe to a jr. college for 2 years then 4 yr. college. I know a few girls that went this direction and it seemed to lessen the expense a lot.

Well, Tanner is still another 2 months or so from being born and I figured I better start now so by the time he's out of high school, looking to go to college, I'll have him somewhat covered. I'm hoping to he's smart like his momma and gets scholarships so momma and I can retire on his college fund and our own retirement. (Think Caribbean diving!)

I like the way you think.

Check out those 529 plans. I think you can pay for your kids education in this state really early and it's good for any school in the state and you can use it for out of state also to some degree.

I've been looking at the 529 plans. The state (MS) usually offers it but, here at the MLC, they don't. Not sure why.

Hey everyone, I found out why PhothikeDive hasn't been here lately.

He apparantly won the lottery and traded in his old "Box on wheels" for a fancy new Camper system.

He sent me a picture of it

That is pretty sweet. It looks way to cold to dive in that picture.
