We just got back from a week of diving Grand Cayman. The day we got there the waves were crazy on the west side. The following day it was a lot more calm. Spent the week diving with Off The Wall Divers and Aaron who is a friend down there. The water wasn't as clear as it normally is but I think it was because of the days of wind before and on our arrival day.
I have to say, Mike from Off the Wall Divers and his team are doing a great job. The boats were on the smaller side but still plenty of room as there were no more than 5 customers on the boat at any point in time. Most of the dives were along the western shore but we did a few dives on the south side. Those were really cool. On the day that there wasn't a cruise ship in town we were able to dive the Balboa. We found 5 different nurse sharks sleeping under various pieces of the wreckage. Pretty cool.
At the Eagles Nest dive site Aaron saw a reef shark, I only saw the tailfin as it was swimming away and pretty deep.
Here are some pictures that I took. Still need to practice more as I think I have the light too close to the camera still.
