If you get a chance, you may want to try to get one of the bunks in the main salon, especially if traveling single. The bunks are wide (more than enough room for your stuff & you). It can get a little noisy there, but with our group, once people started going to bed, most everyone would be courteous & take conversations above, on deck. The forward cabin bunks are kind of smallish. It really depends on how many will be on the cruise. You can get a pretty good idea by calling the office about 2 weeks before you leave. Right now, it looks like only the pirate's Lady & the Morning Star are going out. There was word that the Sea Explorer was being turned into a boat for Scout trips. Could be mistaken on that. I only heard it through the grapevine. The only negative about the Pirate's Lady, is it is beginning to show it's age. It could really use a face lift soon. Most everything worked well, it's just mostly cosmetic stuff that needs improving.

My dive shop suggested getting a room in the main salon, so I'm "signed up" for that. Already paid for the trip and airfare. It will be here before I know it :)

What did y'all do in Bimini?

Nice report Tammy. I've got to do a liveaboard one of these years. They sound awesome.

For the salon, you may want to take some earplugs, if noise bothers you whilst sleeping. I thought it wasn't too bad, myself & never needed them.

Most everyone went shopping at the straw market, at first, came back cleaned up (quite nicely, I should say) & then went out for some drinking (except the kids- they had sodas). I wasn't feeling well, so I just cleaned up & stayed on the boat. This group didn't get (what I would call) "stupid drunk", like the first time I went. Everyone kept within limits that they could dive he next day. That's really about all there is to do there. Unfortunately Bimini is just barely hanging on, & actually dying as a resort island.

Hey thanks for the write up!

We'll be going in the next month or 2. Haven't quite picked the dates yet.

I talked to them Friday and the office told me they had 100+ft vis that whole week. lol

I don't care. Blackbeard's is always a fun time!

I would say the first full day of diving wasn't for us, but then the storms had the water stirred up (nothing the crew could do about it) & it may have settled by now. On 1 dive that day, we only had 10- 15ft vis max (almost like home here!:D). Along with a very strong current. The crew then moved us to another spot several hours away & things were dramatically better (except the currents- Darned full moon).

How was the vis by the end of the week?
