I have a few questions that perhaps some of you more knowledgeable divers can help me with.

Is it ok to dive without a snorkle?

Do I have to have a logbook?

Can I use my hands while diving?

Must I keep my mask off of my forehead?

Is solo diving ok and how do I know if I'm ready for it?

Why is there so much negativity regarding DIR?

Is it ok to breath air while diving and how deep is too deep?

What is the best drysuit?

What is the best regulatorr?

What is the best dive light?

Is it ok to start with a BP/W or should I wait until I'm a more experienced diver?

What is a good computer to get?

Do I need a computer?

I thought I knew the answer to some of these questions but the more I dove the more I realized I didn't know what I didn't know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My answer to each one of the above is to each his own. Do what's right for you!

In this order...
Yes.
No.
Yes.
Sure, as long as you're trying to convey you're in trouble.
Yes...when you're trained and equipped.
Because it's evil.
Yes. Try breathing dirt or water, and you'll see what I mean.
One that keeps you warm.
One that gives you air (see two questions above).
One that provides light.
Your call.
Depends on the answer to the next question.
No. But you don't need a car or TV either.
Hey, we're all learning...that's what this board is for!
Any time...I'm full of "answers". (I didn't say they were QUALITY answers...just answers.)

Welcome to bazarro world.

Looks like the OP had just got home from a night out when he posted this. My friends and I had many philosophical discussions that seemed to end around two am when the bar closed leaving me to ponder those mysteries alone. How wonderful we have the internet so that we can ponder them with the assistance of others who do not have to see us with our head in the toilet.

Have you tried our Search feature....?! :D
