Firstly, I'm sorry jandjdivers for your loss.
This is why I'm so against the government or city officials in general. There's never any rush to solve or get information to tragedies against the "common folk" unless it's a governemnt/city employee, or someone famous.
The rest of the "normal" people get treated like crap and are given very little respect.
They're always too busy for the "common folk", but yet they can turn information around very quickly to these so called "important people".
It's so depressing that we can't show the same respect across the board regardless of who they are or what they do for a living.
