What kind of sad commentary on our system is that, guy loses his job just for exercising one of his rights as an American citizen?

He was not dismissed over the lawsuit.

He was dismissed because he was a douche bag in the court room.

The lawsuit over the missing trousers at the drycleaners was your basic recreational intermural douchbaggery.

He is likely also a douche bag to waiters, maids, other drivers on the road, railroad conductors, subordinates, bailiffs, neighbors, people he's speaking to on the phone, front desk managers at hotels, and the individual who rings up his groceries.

He would appear, from articles in the Washington Post, to be an equal opportunity offender - meaning basically he offends people regardless of their race, heritage, religion, sexual orientation, or gender. Sort of an anti-social habitual douche bag, as it were...
