too much $

Sheeze, go to Wallys and get a 6 ft. dog leash, has a nice loop for the wrist, or you can add a bolt snap, or two! Bungie it up with some small diameter tubing and you're all set! JMHO :D

Actually, scuba.com had the best divers jon line with clip for $29, not bad considering the alternatives....

I just ended up buying a deepoutdoors jon line from ebay for $25....No big deal. It would have taken me more time to find someone to sew it up for me. I am going diving in the keys in a couple of weeks, and would like it before than as current can be strong down there!

Thanks...

Or just use a spool

+1

While all the rest of the divers are fighting for space on their safety stops while using "Jon Lines" you can pay out 20' or more of line from your spool if you like and avoid the crowds. Pluse the line will slide up the nylon anchor line just fine when you need to ascend.:D

Jon Line is can hang clip on the descent/ascend anchor line in desire depth especially strong current

Outside pocket of the tool bag, and a backup in my drysuit pocket.

For simpler dives, bungied to my deco cylinder, next to the reg.

Or in the drysuit pocket if I really don't expect to need it.
