A movie was supposed to come out last year about the discovery of U-869 by Chatterton and Koehler.

I think I got the U-boat number right, sorry if it's wrong.

I never did see a movie come out though. Did I miss it? Is it still in the works?

Shadow Divers (2009)

Not much info there. Production limbo?

At one time they had Ridley Scott listed as the director.... that got changed sometime a year or so ago...

We has some fun in this thread http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/ba...rtons-interview-scubaboard-9.html#post3903736 discussing who would play what part....

Even Chatterton replied jokingly to the suggestions.....

Here was my post of suggestions for your humor entertainment. :rofl3:

so.... lets ask this question? "Who would you choose?"

Here are some practical but humorous suggestions..

For John Chatterton, how about Chris Hanson from NBC Dateline & "To Catch a Predator", or Jeff Bridges?

For Richie Kohler, how about Ron Jeremy? :D

For Gary Gentile, how about Tom Berenger?

For Steve Belinda (of the Wahoo), how about the guy who played Capt Kangeroo?

I don't have a good Bill Nagle, pic, but how about Willem Dafoe?

If Robert Kurson is actually in the movie, how about Wayne Knight who played "Newman" on Seinfield?

Any other "good suggestions?" (or funny ones?) :D

Uh...Bob Keenan (Captain Kangaroo) is deceased. Hey, I've been told I look a lot like Captain Kangaroo...How about me???? OOOOO OOO OOO (hand waving wildly...)

Some other suggestions from that above referenced thread..

Hey maybe once they make the movie, Gary Gentile will make a not as enjoyable, but more believable version? :p

But it will only be available on You-Tube! (or since it's about U-boats...U-Tube!) :rofl3:
