Apparently Joe had enough of the aquatic life and decided to seek another adventure elsewhere. The grub without Joe is still good and right up there with the best of other boats, but it definitely lacked that "Joe-ness".

For example, the scrambled eggs though yummy yet isn't as fluffy and buttery. No more three types of home made salsas.

Joe will be missed greatly by yours truly, however I will still patronize the Peace Boat because the crew delivers the good.

Sadness for all of us SoCal divers, but I wish Joe huge happiness in all his adventures.

A more thoughtful, dedicated, creative and tasteful man would be difficult to find.

Bon Voyage, Joe!!!

+1

Joe will be hard to replace, but no doubt the Peace will maintain their high standards. I hope Joe finds what he seeks.

I will definitely miss the Portabello mushrooms with walnut stuffing . . . but I'm sure the Peace will find someone who cooks well, because first-rate is how that boat rolls.

Not being as much of a food buff as some divers, while I will certainly miss Joe's grub when I dive off the Peace the Peace continues to be one of my very favorite dive boats when I have the $$$ to dive a boat other than Catalina. Sure do wish Joe well in his future endeavors!

The Peace had the best dive boat food with Joe. I hope they can still keep it up without him. I'll miss his food and his good nature, but all the crew is great. I was on it a few months ago and Joe was off, Steve cooked. It was still good food, hoping it stays that way.

Steve cooked a few weeks back. And it was delicious! I never dove on the Peace while Joe was aboard, but Steve definitely is not a slouch in the galley. And, he made cinnamon twists that were to die for. Yum!
