Surprised this hasn’t been discussed earlier, but I’m looking for a jet fin style Tec fin that has a deeper pocket than SP jetfins that are also negative in the water for dry suit cold water diving.

I can’t find any definitive information on foot pocket depth for the popular getting alternatives, for any given size.

Have you looked at rocket fins? I have a set that the foot pocket is bigger than my SP jetfins. I use my rocket fins with High Tide Ranger dive boots that have very thick soles when I shore dive. The combo fits me well. I don't fit in my jetfins when wearing the HT Ranger boots.

I find Hollis F1 to be superior to the jet fins, the foot pocket is in a different league.

How are the Hollis F1 fins and XS Scuba fins in terms of dry weight? This is in regards to checked baggage for international travel. I have been traveling with the jetfins with spring straps, which weigh 6.5 pounds. I would like to find a set of fins that weigh less but still have the desirable aspects of the jetfins.

Turtles are basically the same as traditional jets. Hollis F1's will be lighter dry weight. I don't consider F1 as "equivalent" to Jets or Turtles, they are way different. They are also longer which are undesirable for me for travel....

Not easily... I wear DUI Rock Boots in size 12 - 14 depending on water temps. The F1 pockets are really deep. The Turtles are wide, but not as deep. Different length spring straps (I use Highland) dial in the Turtles to what you would want...

Turtle pockets are 8 3/4" L x 5" W x 3" H. No size specified on the fin.

Have an old pair for sale if you're interested.
