We were at Ship Island this past weekend and I kept seeing a bunch of these. I have also seen these at St. Andrews at PCB. Just wondering exactly what they are and if they can sting?

 
Indeed, it is a comb jelly. As Cali_diver said, they lack stinging cells (nematocysts) and instead cruise through the water column gobling up plankton.
 
And, there are no jellyfish.
