Anyone Know How The Jelly Fish Are At Venice?
Is It Clear By The Boneyard Or Are They Bad.

I Read On Someones Blog That They Were Bad At The Boneyard
Last Weekend Maybe? And I Wonder If The Storm Is Stirring Up
The Viz.

I was at Alhambra on Saturday. No jellyfish off the shore, but the water was churned up and the visibility poor -- especially around the artificial reef. It was a beautiful day and good hunting nonetheless.

They were thick out by the boneyard on Saturday. I had heard that they started up around Thursday (July 31), but evidently they weren't bad closer to the beach. I talked to a couple of divers that were diving near the public beach and they didn't see any.

I'm hoping with the wind change it pushes them out to sea more. I guess a better report will come from Capt Jamie after he takes the group out tomorrow. Good luck guys hope you find lots of fossils. Wish I was going with you. Have fun and be safe.

We were out this morning & for the first hour, we didn't see any, but as the tide started coming in, we began to see some. My dive buddy did get stung on the arm as she was going down. They seemed to be floating about 1-2 ft deep. I didn't see any on the bottom. We also got a surprise visit from a very nice size cuda.
