i wonder how the little one is doing
 
yeah, it is such a big operation for such a little guy. I hope he's ok today. So hard to go thru as a parent :(
 
he's doing well. he's looking around, kicking & waving, not acting like he's in pain. still on the ventilator, on some pain meds & antibiotics. they should be able to close his tummy (left open because of the swelling) tomorrow or the next day. he's needed lots of blood & platelet transfusions, but hasn't needed steroids or high doses of meds to keep his blood pressure up. the doctors & nurses are very encouraged!
