I found and bought 19" J Rods for my bottles with J valves but my USD triple 40s seem to require a 21" J rod.

Can anyone please confirm the correct J rod length for these vintage USD triples?

Thanks...

The “correct J-rod length” is one you can get to. I don’t think there was ever a “correct length” specified.

Agreed John....I knew no specs were around, but was hoping someone with an original set would/will measure the rod for me...

One of my few remaining J-rods -- this one from a Poseidon / Aqua-Sport double valve is 58 cm (23") with a bit of a dog-leg bend and angled valve loop; others, I recall, were about that same length.

Alternatively, we also fitted lengths of gangion with a sinker at one end for the same purpose . . .

They are however long you want them to be. There wasn't a standard. I have a pile of them in various lengths.
