that search function has never worked for me... i click on it, then
type "search" and it says no good... i make sure it's spelled right too,
every time, and it still doesn't work.

DUring our upgrade last night the ENTIRE search engine was replaced with a far more powerful one. Please let us know how you like it or if there are any issues with it.
