Finally after months of research, questions and much pondering I've gone and done it. Today I picked up the phone, called ScubaToys and took my first step towards the dark side by ordering my BP/W set-up.

I ordered a 30lb Oxycheq Mach V Signature wing with st/stl travel backplate and deluxe adjustable harness (plus a few other odds and ends). Imagine my surprise when only about 4 hours after placing the order I got an e-mail with a UPS tracking number. WOW that's service.

Joe and Larry (and Rick), you guys rock :D

Come on UPS Hurry Up, Hurry Up, Hurry Up !!! Surely they can't be much longer. I mean I got the e-mail 5 hours ago!

Welcome to the dark side, you'll love it here. Congrats on your purchase.

Yeah, welcome. Best move I ever made... except maybe the long hose. :D

I can't wait 'till it arrives. I even went out and checked that the pool heater is working so I can check it out as soon as it arrives. Heater works fine but the pumps leak like hell. Never mind as long as I can get that damn water nearer 70 deg than the current 55!

sweeetttttt - and congrats, i hope you have many many many happy and safe dives with it

and that reminds me, off to find SB'er DiveTub to follow up a quote he sent me aboot a new bpw for me!

Yes, you are completely on the darkside now--bp/w and from an online shop too!

I went bp/w about a year ago and am so glad I did. ST is a great place to buy gear and they have not only great prices, but great service too.

I didn't have any concerns buying online (especially from a reputable dealer like ST), but was extremely pleased with the help and advice provided by them. Even though I knew by that time exactly what I wanted, it was reassuring for them to tell me that the set up I had chosen would work well.

Funny thing is I never realised that they are only a few hours drive from me. If I'd known that I'd have convinced the wife and kids that a day trip to Dallas was a good idea. Down side is I have to pay sales tax. I wonder if I can claim it back as an expat?????

I just wish that UPS truck would hurry up!!!

My wife and I dive the Oxycheq Mach V Extreme 30 lb. wing with a lightweight BP and one-piece Hog harness. We use no lead weight with steel tanks, and a little weight in XS Scuba trim pockets on the cam bands when using aluminum tanks. We could never go back to anything else!

Hope you have better luck with UPS than we do here. Ugh!

Congratulations and enjoy!

Arghhhh. Don't say that about UPS....please. I mean I could drive there in about four hours. Well three and a half if I took the wifes car. Maybe I could meet them half way?
