jepuskar once bubbled...
This will be my first winter as a diver...I would like to let everyone know that if you live in Florida, Hawaii, the Caribbean or anywhere else where you can dive year round..in decent conditions....that I am extremely jealous.

just come on down! :D

Ahh - Christmas day at the beach! Ok, so I've personally never had the "time" to head down to the beach on Christmas day - but it's the knowledge that I can do so that counts. ;)

On the California coast where the water ranges from 40s to 70s the winter time is the best time to dive. I still don't own a dry suit (though I've noticed I'm growing less tolerant). The vis can get to 40+ feet in winter in the kelp beds.

So all you folks in the cold north enjoy the snow.....and for those of you in WI. you have alot of cheese to go along with your whine!!!!!!lol

Closest think we have to snow is the underwater vis after a hurricane passes through.

Temp high 80's to low 90's
Water temp around 83

I shut the windows a few days ago when it dropped to a bone chilling 78 overnight.

Even though there was some flakes it didnt stick, this weekend should be prime color for the trees.

Thinking of a dive,
Caymaniac:rolleyes:

Hmmm, 2 Inches of snow on the ground
Scraping the Ice off my my car every morning
2000km from the nearest Ocean
and 4 months away from my next dive trip

Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I started diving.;-0

Just nasty damp and windy with overnight lows in the 20's...god I love the midwest

Minneapolis had snow showers on October 30th, but it didn't hang around due to the still above freezing ground temps.
