IST wetsuits...any comments

I've seen some 7mm and 5mm suits online from a company called IST. They are fairly inexpensive and my LDS carries them.

Anyone know anything about them or the IST wetsuits. I can get one for 129.00 at my LDS 5mm jumpsuit with zippers at ankle and wrist. Any info on IST would be great.

I've had a 3mil for a couple of yrs now and its been a good one. The zippers at the wrists and ankles makes it easier to put on and take off. I've use mine commercially too and it holds up well.

I've had my IST 7mm for almost 2 years now and I love it. I got it fairly cheap it has held up well and kept me warm in 40 degree water.

Thanks for the info on the IST. At 129.00 USD if the suit lasted a year or two and then had to be replaced it sounds like it may be worth it. I'll go pick it up and let you all know what I think.

Excellent news Jer. I hope to see that new suit in action soon. Most wetsuits only make it a few years anyway before they are super compressed and don't hold their thermal characteristics as well. Please keep us updated with the progress of your suit and how well it holds up.

Picked it up today from LDS. I must say that the IST's that I tried on were more on the liberal side as far as fit is concerned. I usually wear a XL in NeoSport and Xcel and it's usually snug. The XL from IST was a little looser on me. I went down to the Large but it was a little too snug.
