Sometimes! My boyfriend is an instructor and spends a number of his weekends with student so on the off chance that he gets a weekend free to do his own diving I tend to let him dive with his mates cause I think diving with me is still sort of babysitting diving at the moment and I have a couple of other buddies whom I trust implicitly and who are happy to dive within my limits. That siad we still do dive together quite a bit and have already decided to dive together on both our dive holidays this summer.

My wife is my buddy. I have always been fascinated with diving, so the Christmas before our wedding ('94), my mother-in-law gave us private lessons - this was by far my best present ever !!:D Anyways went to Cozumel for our honeymoon... and have been diving since. However, we have just found out that we are expecting our first child :) , so I need to find a new buddy for the time being.

Yes, my S.O. is my dive buddy. I waited too long to get him started. We have been together almost seven years but did not even try to get him involved until this past year. Now he is taking advanced classes and working hard to learn all he can about the sport.
We have even discussed turning our mutual love of diving into a business together. So far no problems at all. :out:

My husband is my dive buddy. We have a great time diving together. He is a very attentive buddy and I feel lucky that he likes diving as much as I do.

I tried scuba a few times when I was younger in Hawaii and always wanted to get certifed. About 8 years ago an opportunity came up for me to get certified and I took it. The girl, now Wife, I was with was not sure about getting certifed and asked if this would put a strain on our relationship. I said yes it might as i love the water and diving is something I love to do. Well She tried a discover Scuba at a LDS Pool. She got certified 4 months after I did and we have been diving ever since. Plus there are some perks of diving with your spouse or S.O.
Plus your Spouse or S.O. will look more after you then a stranger I think because they want to make sure you will be ok and nothing happen to you.

Just my .02 cents :)

My wife and I have been diving together since our honeymoon back in 4/01. We made about 50 dives together and I can't imagine what it would be like diving without her. Currently putting together a guys trip for next spring so I guess I will find out.

Hi,
New here..but, my wife will be my dive buddy. I finally talked her into diving and she is thrilled just to breath underwater. Now I have to sell stuff to buy stuff for her...but this is worth it.

My boyfriend and I are doing our ow together. We did half of the ow dives we need to finish and plan on finishing the other ones together. He wouldn't finish without me, so he's waiting.

We were in Dutch Springs about a month ago and it was just WAY to cold for me, so I didn't go back in the water the second day.

I thought it was great that he wouldn't finish without me. :D

My girlfriend is my buddy when she's available and when the dive meets her skill level. She's really a warm water diver at heart but she's really making an effort to join me for Great Lakes diving.

My wife is my dive buddy on over 1/2 of my dives, but sometimes she can't make it out on a dive, so I'll dive with other people (missing her all the while of course).
