Good it know. I "almost" buckled one of 161s back together without the o-ring last year. I caught it, but I've always wondered if the strobe unit would have been toast.
Incidentally, you can order battery packs direct from Ikelite. I replaces one of mine this summer. Shipping to you might be expensive, but they presumably have a distributor over there someplace.
