I bought two Oceanic CDX5/GT3 regs for my wife and I in 2007 when they were closing out the Non-DVT versions. We have been very happy with them, so far down to 100fsw they breathe great. Heading for Cozumel with them this month.

I also own the Oceanic GT3 with the DVT CDX5... This by far is the best regulator I have owned so far.. It breathes flawlessly and has had no issues whatsoever

My wife and I are also heading to Cozumel on a cruise this month, maybe we will meet up and compare notes on the GT3...lol

Wow, it's still there for $215 -- I am really thinking about buying this as my first reg. I've been shopping around at LDS's but I'm so intimidated by costs, I feel like this might be the best way to go for me.

Could anybody recommend a good, reasonable octo to go with this? A console?

One of my dive buddies uses the GT3 without any problems. I know from experience that Oceanic customer service is great too.
