Is there a direct correlation between the amount of weight that you carry on your weight belt versus your body weight or is it a ratio of one versus the other? Say if you loss 2 lbs can you take 2lbs off of your weight belt if your setup stays exactly the same.

Buoyancy is a function of weight and water displacement. Your body size is a primary factor.

There are many factors that go into weighting needs. I'm 240# and use zero weight.
