Hey we are headed to Bonaire again in a week and are thinking of picking up our first camera after a few years of diving.

My question is as new photogs is the extra $300 for the light and flash combo worth it? Would we be just as happy with only the flash? Is the light primarily for video?

Obviously we have a lot to learn, but you got to start somewhere.

Thanks in advance

Actually, the video is GOOD, but the stills are pretty amazing considering it's not a DSLR. For $500 or less, I don't believe there is a better camera to be bought. It's either in your budget or not though.

I appreciate the reply Superlyte. I realize my post wasn't too clear. They have a pro set with the flash for $799 and the pro duo set with the flash and the light for $1099.

I am wondering if I should spend the extra $300 for the light or stick with just the flash.
