There will be tons of opinions on this
Mostly, "Who cares?," but I admire your optimism.:D

Thanks everyone, you all have good points, thanks for sharing, I have a better insight now on this so called dive flag and why every company is using it. I will have to discuss it with everyone here at Dive Zero and see if we could somehow work a logo into it. Thanks guys. Your right, it is like a secret handshake code for divers.

Stu S.:
Some folks may think our dive flag is the national flag of some small island nation.

It's the national flag of Scuba Nation :D

That's the sticker that thieves count on when deciding which car to break into.

It would have been nice if some of the adults leading a group of campers the other day might have known what the scuba flag is. That way, the kids in their charge may not have been throwing rocks at my flag when my daughter and I surfaced.

Just a thought.

I took a US Power Squadron Boating Course... and the ONLY one mentioning the Diver Down flag was ME. I was VERY disappointed.

"There will be tons of opinions on this, some good and some bad, I can tell you right now, but lets try to keep it to a minimum."

I am more interested in how you ask a question and seek opinions but only want "minimal" opinions. What do you want if not an opinion? Opinions are not a disease, once upon a time it was actually expected that educated people would develop an opinion. N

I really like to see the diver down flag, to me it is almost like a beacon of hope. I think it should be used by everyone in the dive industry as it immeadiately shows your target market you are there for them.

What I meant was, there is always haters on boards, no matter where you go and what you post about. So I was saying, lets try to keep the hate to a minimum, I guess I just didnt make it that clear. But I guess now we know right? :D
