I was trying to look something up this morning and am getting timeouts connecting to archive.rubicon-foundation.org Does anyone know if the site is still being maintained and I'm just unluckily hitting it during a period of temporary downtime? Or is it the worst case, and it's gone?

We need that service to stay with us. The Rubicon Research Repository is a huge asset to the diving community.

If they need help, I'd be glad to lend a hand.. or a server. I have a "dedicated" dual xeon server with a gigabit uplink and about 2TB of free solid state storage available. Quotes because it's already running two very low volume sites for my son and I.

It's IIS/Windows Server, so if you were setup to run from Apache/Linux that might be a problem.

Heck, even if they get it back up it might be beneficial to have a mirror available.

Just install WSL2 and Docker desktop and you can run a lot of Linux -based stuff. (Also modern .NET stuff that you can build for Linux Docker deployment.)

@tbone1004's post about transfer going funky and "hardware issues" sound suspiciously like RAID/file corruption. :( Hopefully that's not it and/or they have a recent backup.
