Yikes. I'm supposed to be in the Caymans next Monday, the 24th through the 30th. Because of Wilma, I get to put it off for as long as I need, per both the airline and the hotel. For how long will the Caymans be choppy and turbid? In other words, when will the seas calm down?

Hi Matt,
At the moment it's pretty rough out there 10-12ft seas + and blowing 20-25 knots. The forecast is for the winds to shift around over the weekend and into Monday as Wilma basically circles us.
It's looking like the earliest we might get out diving will be Tuesday but more likely to be Wednesday or Thursday.
Normally the vis clears up pretty quickly after these events but I would advise maybe delaying by a few days if you can to ensure some nice calm days.
Check out the weather links on www.gov.ky for the latest info.

Hope this helps, see you down here soon!

You might want to wait till next weekend to make sure this strom clears out and the seas return to normal. Have a great time on GC.
