I guess to be simple the question is IS IT SAFE TO RENT GEAR IN MEXICO? my answer according to my own experience living, managing a dive operation in Mexico I can say YES IT IS SAFE! When a thread appears about dive shops and how it differs from time of use of gear to the actual use itself I will be glad to post my opinion which would be a limited one due to only knowing a few dive centers world wide in my experience of 26 years diving, knowing equipment etc.
