I recommend for regs:

- Apeks XL4 Ocea. Sustainable, light weight, comfortable mouthpiece, and already comes with the (lighter) braided hoses. Quality stuff. - my daughter dives that. It's not cheap, but not expensive.
- Very light weight, excellent performance, long intervals between service. However, extremely expensive. quality stuff.
- Scubapro Mk21 - very affordable for its performance, still has venturi at this price range. Much more access to servicing than the above two (but that depends on where you live).

For BCDs, I don't know from your post the type you're looking for, but I know little now about jacket styles (last dive 20 years ago). The only thing I know is that backplate/wing is easier for travelling. Xdeep, Deept6, Apeks, Tecline - all good. Go with aluminum backplate for traveling. Personally, I recommend Xdeep Zeos 28 (single tank), and she can choose the color - that's my 14 year old daughter's.

both my kids learned to dive at 10, and after their course, i switched them to BP/W + L/S hose. (they are now 13 and 15 yo)

the BPis the oxycheq Ultra Lite Travel Plate, with the 30# wing 18#, 30# and 40# Single Wings. they are now 30cm taller and 10kg heavier, and all I had to do was swap out webbing. the should be able to use them until their fully grown.

for regs, i got the DGX D6 single-tank packagae, which are made by deep6

A little update. My daughter completed her CMAS * course as planned. After her course, we did a few more dives at my usual dive spot here before heading to visit her grandma in Cyprus where we did 6 dives during our 3 week stay. After Cyprus, dives here have been a bit on the cold side for her, so this time around she's asking for money for a drysuit for her birthday and christmas presents. (She's also saving herself from what she gets paid for work as a swimming instructor once a week)

We ended up getting her an apex ATX regulator set last time around. She has a bp/w waiting, but she has opted to use the jacket style bcd she used for the course for the time being.

Here are a couple of pics, sort of just to say hello.

For the reg, you can watch to lighter reg , like APEKS Fligh ou AL Mikron. It seems have an option in pink color !

I actually did look at Apeks Flight, when I buying the ATX set, but besides it being 250 e more expensive, it also is not recommended for our type of diving, as we do quite a bit of cold water dives (temps below 10 C, hence the need for a drysuit next) So I decided to go with what I know to have worked well for the rest of our family.

Here's a link to the drysuit we're looking to get. (My oldest has been diving with one for some years now and has been very happy with it)

I'm free if you need another child
