So is ScubaBoard supposed to be a place where people ONLY discuss SCUBA and SCUBA related topics? Or is it also about the community of people who dive?

I'm not saying that politics belongs here. I don't mix politics and anything really... it's pretty volatile.

It may be a community of divers, but it makes sense to segment the discussion to a degree and keep certain discussions left to other forums on the net..

That's all well & good, Andy but The Kraken's analogy was the better one. I'll change it a little. You don't go to your HR department to find out why so-&-so got a warning letter, had a suspension, or was let go.

except we're not co-workers here, we're fellow members in an internet discussion board. all we want is reassurance that you (the big cops) didn't fly off the handle and banned someone for no reason.

just be aware you're shooting yourselves in the foot for not releasing A FRAGGING SENTENCE that would put people at ease and could defuse a lot of unhappiness
