I haven't dove Barracuda too many times, and always in the spring and have never experienced such currents.

Are these strong currents more previlent in the late summer months and into the winter? it seems like I always here of these strong current stories during this time of year.

I dove Barracuda and San Juan in October, 2005 during Tropical Storm Stan and it was ripping. Everyone wore gloves and it was very difficult to stop.

Did that dive 5 years ago with Raul Platas in Feb. Ripping current with a downward pull. To busy controlling myself in the current to enjoy the dive. Felt like I had a scooter and going 50mph. Sometime would like to do it again with a lighter current. What I did see was nice.
