This was probably a "what if?" discussion, don't you think?
Also, can you imagine the instant "gooning" he would have taken if the situation were reversed? (Him on mix and the others on gas and him suddenly having to switch to air from mix?) Why wasn't he on doubles?

The 3 guys on the mix were on doubles I'm sure

He froze up? No doubles? No redundant air source at all?

Why would 3 mix divers even take a fourth diving a totally different gas?

Sounds like a Phoney Bologna story to me too.!!

As I remember all dives are made with eithor doubles OR single with H valve and redundant regulators. I remember them being very specific on this when I planned my trip. I doubt the story is true. In fact I don't remember any of the DM with a single. Won't swear to it just don't remember it.

Phoney or not... lets just say hypothetically. The only reason he'd have to significantly change his deco schedule, as far as I can see, is if the O2 content of the trimix was less than 21%. However the other snag is if the trimix divers are carrying 32% for deco, then they probably are planning to do their stops much differently than getting to 20 ft for the O2; so that would change things since he couldn't be at 20 ft while they are doing deeper stops.
