Have just aquired a Seac Sub pro lady BCD second hand (had it checked of course, its fine) only thing is that it appears to have the capactiy for integrated weight pockets (as in pockets to hold the weights not the actual weights) but just doesnt have them in it.

Is there any way i can replace them separately or is it back to the old weight belt for me?

Thanks sooo much. Really didnt think it would be that simple. THANKS! :new_smili

If in the UK wearing thick exposure protection it seriously recommend against using integrated weights of any way shape of form. Ive never seen a WI system thats secure enough for the 25-30+lb carried by most divers here. It also feels like carrying a truck around on your BC and pity the poor sod who has to lift your kit back onto a RIB.

Weight belt (or weight harness) is a much better idea.

Jess: I'm thinking of getting the Seac Sub Prolady but don't know anyone who's using the BC. Could you give me some feedback on it? Many thanks!

I've Pro2000 and it's with two permanent weight pockets in the back (1,5kg each), and possibility to use two additional/ditchable weight pockets (2kg each). The additional ones are not very comfortable to use, and the capacity anyhow isn't enough with thick exposure suit so it's better to use separate weight belt. I use weightbelt (9kg) and to adjust to sea water 2,5kg in permanent pockets.
I found only meaningful use for one additional weight pocket when travelling to tropics (with 3mm suit max. 4kg ballast).
